All About STFA

String Theory Fabric Art (STFA) was started 3/14/15 as an Etsy store. Initially to sell finished products such as quilts, embroidered bags, and t-shirts as a part-time endeavor.

By November of 2015, the store transitioned fully into machine embroidery design and digitization.

The Facebook Fan Group was started February of 2017.

An independent website was started August of 2018 through Shopify. The Etsy store was closed permanently in March of 2019.

When the independent website opened in August of 2018, STFA went from a part-time endeavor to a fulltime business concern.

In August if 2022, STFA had outgrown what was feasible as far as website features to benefit our customers and we started what will henceforth be referred to as The Great Web Debacle.

Over the next 6 months, we went through 3 different web development companies and numerous iterations of the website being “up” and “down” and completely sideways.

Eventually we discovered the “Wonder Woman” Devs, the website was reborn and it has been nothing but rockin’ ever since.

Over the last 3 years, STFA has worked to expand our visibility by adding pages on Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and even TikTok.

  1. The next time I read a blog, Hopefully it does not fail me just as much as this one. I mean, Yes, it was my choice to read, nonetheless I really believed youd have something helpful to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of crying about something that you can fix if you were not too busy looking for attention.

    1. Thank you for your input. I’ve never done a blog before but one was requested and I am still working to “find my voice.” This was not an attempt at whining but being clear and honest about what was going on to help explain any interruption in services.
